I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 20 years in a variety of outpatient settings, including schools, agencies with psychiatric services, and currently private practice. My work has been with many different types of people from numerous cultures with a variety of issues, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, divorce, marital discord, interpersonal conflict and work stress.
I have a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Counseling from Rider University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey, as well as a Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of New Jersey. I recently was awarded the PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, a school whose main focus is psychodynamic psychotherapy.
My areas of special interest are Murray Bowen’s Family Systems theory and Carl Jung’s Psychodynamic Theory of Individuation. Both of these inform and deepen my work withclients. I believe that dreamwork is particularly significant in healing and encourage clients to honor the dream. I also encourage clients to utilize their innate strengths in conjunction with psychotherapy, exercise, social supports, meditation, and spiritual systems in order to grow, heal, feel empowered, and find fulfillment in their lives.
